Residents of New York City, Westchester County, and Long Island may now apply for interest-free loans of up to $20,000 and financial coaching via nonprofit financial health solution TrustPlus, to help them vanquish debt.
The powerful opportunity is made possible by a partnership between TrustPlus and nonprofit Hebrew Free Loan Society.
To be eligible for a loan, individuals must be working with and referred by a TrustPlus coach. Click here for eligibility requirements.
Interested New Yorkers should text HFLS to 646-349-5959 or visit https://go.mytrustplus.org/HFLS to apply.
TrustPlus personal finance coaches work one-on-one with clients to vanquish debt, strengthen credit, and build savings, providing on-demand expertise and personal guidance, in English or Spanish, via phone or online meeting.
As a financial health solution of nonprofit Neighborhood Trust Financial Partners, TrustPlus does not sell financial products or earn commissions, and everything clients share with TrustPlus is 100% confidential.
“Debt often traps New Yorkers in a vicious cycle that prevents them from achieving financial stability and pursuing their dreams, with significant costs to the individual and to society,” says Justine Zinkin, CEO, Neighborhood Trust Financial Partners. “Combining TrustPlus’ world-class financial coaching with interest-free loans provides a powerful solution for New Yorkers looking for a fresh start on their debt.”
“The Hebrew Free Loan Society has been making interest-free loans to New Yorkers for more than 130 years. We are thrilled to partner with TrustPlus to expand the reach of our lending to people who are working with a financial coach to overcome high-interest debt and return to financial stability,” adds Rabbi David Rosen, the President and CEO at HFLS.
